The 12 Bar Blues

Perhaps the most common chord progression in the history of chord progressions is the 12 bar blues. This is the  12 bar blues in the Key of A. It is the "friendliest" key for beginners because you can play a simple version of it using just open chord forms.

There are two ways we can "feel" the eight note as we play this example. I will play it as "straight" eights and then as "shuffle, swing, dotted or bouncy (these all mean the same thing)" eights. In my opinion it's just easier to hear the difference rather than try to explain it in words.

Slow at first  and then faster once you master
